For local Marine, Christopher Natto, his wife Sydney and their young son, Rhett, 2016 was a tough year. Christopher was hurt on a career-ending military recon mission that left him partially paralyzed. Homeless for the better part of the year, Sydney and Rhett were spending nights in his hospital room on a blow-up mattress.
Upon hearing about Christopher’s story, the community rallied behind the family by providing them with a new home in time for the holidays.
Community Pulls Together to Support Family of Injured Marine
When Lennar Homes and Builders Care approached A/C Designs with the project, we quickly signed on to provide the necessary air conditioning materials and services for the new home. “For us, community is everything” said Ed Tennant, Owner of A/C Designs. “When we heard about the Natto’s story and the sacrifices they have made, we knew had to help in any way we could.”
With Christopher facing a long road to recovery, the family was thankful to have a home of their own where they could begin to put their lives back together.
Happy to Have a Home Again
With a new home, the family is now able to do the small things that people often take for granted such as being able to tuck their child into bed at night. They are excited to spend future holidays and birthdays together as a family and live in a wonderful, supportive and caring community.
A/C Designs is proud to be part of the Northeast Florida community. Our team was honored to be given the opportunity to help the Natto family, and we look forward to continue helping our area live more comfortably.
